7 things to do in madrid

1. Visit a sky bar
Visit a Skybar, have a drink on the rooftop and enjoy the view!
Madrid is a very busy city, the streets are always crowded, therefore, getting from A to B can  be very stressful. Why not take a time-out in a Skybar and forget the hectic of the city life?

2. Templo de Debod

img_3395The Temple of Debod is an ancient Egyptian temple which was dismantled and rebuilt here in Madrid. The temple is located in the middle of a beautiful park of palm trees and plants, so it is definitely worth to spend a while there, walk around and enjoy the exotic vibes!

3. Go vintage shopping

Madrid has a lot of Vintage and second-hand shops to offer. From vintage per kilo to charity and hipster boutiques you will find everything. Most of them are located in a quarter which is called ‘Malasaña’.

4. Parque del Retiro de Madrid

When you are in Madrid you must visit the ‘Retiro Park’, which is one of the biggest parks of the city. Usually, there are a lot of locals hanging around and making music, chatting, playing some games or walking their dogs. When you walk further up, you will also find a small lake and the ‘Crystal Palace’, a beautiful building where small exhibitions take place. It’s a little bit more touristic there but still a very beautiful place to see.

5. Stroll around Lavapiés

‘Lavapiés’ is one of my favorite quarters of Madrid. You find a lot of bars, cafes and cute little shops there. Also the neighborhood itself looks really nice and has a special atmosphere.

6. Malasaña

Malasaña is a lot like Lavapiés but a little bit more modern and a bit more expensive maybe. You also find a lot of shops there, clothing, art, books; you will find almost anything. Also, one hotspot of Madrid’s nightlife is in Malasaña, no matter what time of the day; it is always busy there!

7. Get a Smoothie from ‘Origen’
The ‘Origen’ is a smoothie and juice bar chain where you can get a drink from 1€ (Depending on how many and what ingredients you choose). You find a few branches spread around Madrid. We tried peach and pomelo!

A special thanks to Natalie
